JSON to CSV Converter
Convert JSON arrays to CSV spreadsheets and CSV tables back to JSON with live preview and download.
Runs in your browser. Nothing you add is uploaded.
What the JSON to CSV Converter does
APIs speak JSON, but spreadsheets, finance teams and many import tools want CSV. This converter turns a JSON array of objects into a CSV table — one row per object and one column per key, collected from every object so no field is lost — and converts CSV back into JSON. You can choose a comma, semicolon, tab or pipe delimiter, open .json and .csv files directly, and copy or download the result. Everything runs in your browser, so customer exports and internal data stay on your computer.
How to convert JSON to CSV (and back)
- Choose the direction: JSON to CSV or CSV to JSON.
- Paste your data or open a .json or .csv file.
- Pick the delimiter your target program expects: comma for most tools, semicolon for Excel in many European locales, tab for pasting into sheets.
- Check the output. For JSON to CSV, the header row lists every key found in the data.
- Copy the result or download it as a file.
The JSON to CSV Converter runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded, stored, or logged.
When to use it
Opening an API export in Excel or Google Sheets
An array of orders from an API becomes a sheet with one order per row, ready for filters, pivot tables and charts, without writing a script.
Preparing a bulk import
Many CRMs, email tools and e-commerce platforms import contacts or products only as CSV. Converting JSON from another system is often the missing step in a migration.
Turning a spreadsheet into test data
Going the other way, a sheet of sample users exported as CSV becomes a JSON array you can use as fixtures or seed data.
Good to know
- Nested objects and arrays are written into a single cell as JSON text. Flatten deeply nested data first if you need each value in its own column.
- Values containing the delimiter, quotes or line breaks are wrapped in quotes automatically, which is the CSV standard.
- If Excel shows everything in one column, it expected a different delimiter; try semicolon or use its Data → From Text import.
- Spreadsheets drop leading zeros from things like PIN codes and phone numbers. Format those columns as text when importing.
