About these tools

Sometimes you just need an unbiased answer: heads or tails, a number from one to a hundred, who goes first, which team you are on. These tools give you that, with randomness you can trust. Every result comes from your device's cryptographic random generator, and turning its output into a range uses a method that does not favour any number, unlike the Math.random() shortcut many generators rely on.

Flip one coin or a hundred, roll any die or full tabletop notation such as 4d6kh3, draw numbers with or without repeats, and pick names with a wheel, a winners draw or a team split. The result is always decided first and the animation is added afterwards, so spinning and flipping effects never influence the outcome.

Nothing is sent to a server. Tallies and lists stay in your browser, and the animations respect your reduced-motion setting.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools truly random and fair?

Yes for practical purposes. They use crypto.getRandomValues, the secure generator built into your operating system, and avoid modulo bias, so every outcome is equally likely and independent of the last.

Can I use them for a giveaway or raffle?

The selection is unbiased, so they work well for informal draws. For a regulated raffle or lottery, follow the rules that apply where you are and keep a record of the entries and the result.

Do the tools store my lists or results?

Lists and settings are kept only in your browser, for a few days, so a refresh does not lose them. Nothing is uploaded, and you can clear everything from the Privacy page.
